Hostel

i was disappointed. not enough gore. i think it was mostly due to the trailer, which seemed to promise gore galore. did i interpret it incorrectly? apparently. but hey, i guess character development and sex scenes deserve their screen time as well. maybe.

much of the gore that WAS present, was implied...so we don't get to see holes being drilled into a guy or some woman's freaken toe pliered off. the eye scene near the end though...sweetness. go, white goo! ooze out from that optic nerve as if you belong in there!

oh, and despite the fact that i do actually like this movie...what was up with the ending?! what person in that situation actually gets away?! i suppose the explanation would be that the security guys were just brainless loaves of muscle. ah well.

BenT, shouldn't YOU tell us what YOUR opinion is regarding "Hostel"? -_^

you wrote one sentence saying that it isn't as good as Cabin Fever but is a good sophomore film by Roth. doesn't say anything about how it made you feel ("Hot, bothered, vomity?") or what may be your (non)favorite scenes. -_^

I'd rather wait until someone else chimes in on the flick before getting into it.
